Azzi Fudd Dallas Wings Introductory Press Conference - 4/16/26

Tough place to play. As mentioned previously, after 10 years living in Dallas, Texas in general is very far down the list of where womens sports related advertising and ticket monies are spent. Paige is one of the most interesting sports personalities out there and her joining the Wings only...

    UConn Needs Forwards!

Don't disagree but suggest some "specialists" would be helpful as UConn matches up in the playoffs or against Top 10 in season games. Not sure there will be many true enters we need to match up with this year, but we have Jana as a big body. Our biggest competition will come from teams with...

    Ayanna to Kentucky !!!! (Merged)

Unfortunately, view KY as recruiting several other similar players out of the portal. Hope she knew what she was getting into making this move.

Can Kayleigh Become A Consistent Double Figure Scorer Next Year?

I am a big fan of K9. I cannot think of any other UConn player with as much energy and commitment to succeed. That being said, she would need to be paired with a strong defender. K9 is high energy but would not be a 30 min. a game defender against Top 10 offensive talent. UConn won this past...

    26-27 season

Too many forget about the points that KK takes off the opposition's board. If we had an Azzi like shooter to put in KK's place, OK, but she is so disruptive she is a major contributor to UConn leading the US in defense. Heckel makes some outstanding plays and is constaint energy but is too...

    26-27 season

25 points one game and 8 the next is tough to game plan for. When given the opportunity to coach consistent performance, Geno does well.

    Jovana turning heads

In looking at this past year's stats, noticed that the only returning player from the rotation with a 70%+ free throw shooting average was Allie. Geno may not want some PG's in at the end of the game unless he can count on their FT shooting.

    UConn Bigs

Suggest that if no true "bigs" are available, Geno could look at someone like Addy Brown from Iowa State. 14ppg scorer, 8-9 rebounds per game and could fit any style. Has proven she excels in the tougher games with high basketball IQ.

    Jovana turning heads

Interested in other's thoughts on Kelis-PG or shooting guard? Since she played so little, hard to understand her overall skills. Fun to watch her drives to the basket but that was about all we saw.

    UConn Needs Forwards!

    Not very impressive.

    26-27 season

Would never sluff off Shade. This is the player that scored 20 points in the first Q of a game last year. Re: Allie, not a great one on one player but if Geno can design some extra pick plays, she has the shooting skills to be a 15 ppg guard. Deadly 3 point shooter.

    UConn Needs Forwards!

Per my past posts, there is no bigger fan of Ash than myself, but one of the weaker points of the game were the switches that left Forbes being guarded by Shade. I don't view this as an Ashley issue but an example of how strong a player Forbes is. Geno loves to coach players with consistent...

    Ice Brady in the portal

While I tend to error on the positive side, after seeing what Serah accomphished at Wisconsin, I can see a healthy Ice being a 15 point and 8-10 rebound point per game at a 2nd tier Big 10 school. Ice showed a solid mid range game and was an above average defender and rebounder during the 2024...

Can Kayleigh Become A Consistent Double Figure Scorer Next Year?

K9 is a good shooter, good defender with exceptional energy but does not have the quickness to take on the top guards. KK is a world class defender. Suggest that when evaluating her, you need to add 2-3+ baskets to her box score due to her normal steals per game. Love to watch K9's drives but...

    UConn Bigs

Watch some of the few videos of Ganday before this year and you will understand why her learning curve is longer than some. Most of her guards were short, slow and had average at best offensive skills. Gandy typically just stood under the basket and was typically double teamed. I have never...
