Rare that one person gets a bug and it doesn't spread. Here's hoping Geno has a big bottle of disinfectant for the hand shake line.

If you saw the game, Allie was tightly guarded and rarely got the ball in a position to shoot. That being said, she did lool a little tentative.

    Jovana Popovic and Nika Muhl

Blanca and Morgan? Both can play all positions including power forward/Strong sub in a small ball lineup. If Geno needs them to play in a ball-handling guard position, its because of issues I don't want to think about.

Alllie Ziebell - "you wouldn't be here if you couldn't do this"

While Allie is not the quickest player on the team, her improved defense shows how strong her basketball IQ is. If you watch closely, you often see her breaking toward the ball before a pass or after a shot. She uses her body very well to prevent quick guards getting by her. Good hands-if she...

    Vandy Takes Down TX

Watched game and some thoughts: -Very odd. Vic Schaefer totally trashed his Texas team, saying they were the "softest" team he had ever coached. Very strange language for a coach of a top 5 team that had several great wins under their belt to put all the blame on his players. Remember this...

    Jovana Popovic and Nika Muhl

Next year, predict top 5. Following year with more experienced Big O and Popovic, coupled with Sarah's senior year, another National Championship.

Uconn dominance re BigEast - a little perspective.

A slightly different perspective. -Not too many years ago when UConn was struggling with recruiting, 2-3 of the Big East put up a good fight every time they played UConn. For example, look at Villanova. -This year, with the exception of Mich, UConn beat all the top non-league 15 teams it played...

    The Jumbo Lineup

While there is no replacing Jana's size, I would make the case that both Sarah and Blanca are better rebounders than Jana and Serah. Serah is a good shot blocker and defender so not dismissing her skills but a 6'2" player with strength, quickness and abiity to chase rebounds (versus just stand...

A few nits following a well played game. -For the first time in awhile I enjoyed the announcers. Was it Meghan McKeown doing the color commentary? Was well prepared -told some good Geno/Phila basketball stories and knew the player trends, particularly how UConn players had been performing the...

    Creighton Postgame Thread

About 2 weeks ago, Sarah was one of the post game interviews and spent the session coughing. Last night, after playing about 5 minutes, she seemed to have issues catching her breath. Good news is whatever is bothering her has enough time to clear up prior to the playoffs.

Serah did something last night I have rarely seen this year. Several times, she got the ball down low, looked at her defender, seemed to understand she had an advantage, then using some physical moves, pushed her way in for a short shot. Yes, she rarely does this but at least we saw it happen...

Top 3 Things You Want To See Wednesday Against Creighton- Game is at 7:00 pm at Gampel and is on Peacock

Would love to see Jana go after rebounds versus just boxing out one position and not anticipating where the ball will go. She may be trying too hard but she has had issues grabbing ball with two hands. Not sure how to coach this issue but if Geno can get her to relax, her performance will...

    UConn - Butler post game

Tough to draw any conclusions when playing a team like Butler, but... -As mentioned, KK is unafraid to shot from outside and making her fair share. In a tight game, this could be critical. -Patterson seems more relaxed. Not the foul machine while on defense that she was her first year and is...
