There’s been a Blanca sighting in Storrs

Did an AI search and it came back that she had significant recruiting interest with the following schools showing the most interest: Iowa Tennessee Kentucky

KK or Kayleigh, who's your guess?

Predict that KK and Kayleigh will be in different rotations. KK will bring unlimited energy and be replaced by Kelis. Little drop off in speed or energy. Pity the poor competitive players who have to keep up with those two.

There’s been a Blanca sighting in Storrs

With these many exceptional credentials, it appears that Blanca was not heavily recruited in the US other than Geno. Can anyone offer other information?

    Serah Williams On Why UConn

Good observation. I would characterize Geno's recruits as having "No Fear." For the most part, his transfers, such as Chen, also were unafraid to take the big shot when it mattered most.

    Paige and some real rest

Recently saw an article that noted Dallas Wings (Am I the only one who hates this team name?) have gone up over 351% since Paige was signed with prices going up 38% over last year. Tough decision by ownership/management. While you need a Paige who is physically able to perform at 100%+, for the...

    Serah Williams On Why UConn

Suspect that NIL is changing the way recruiting takes place. Is taking pictures of a recruit in the potential university uniform tacky? While some would say so, if you were attempting to motivate a higher NIL commitment, some would say this is one tactic to try. Not saying Serah did this but...

    UConn All-Time Greatest

Nice to see Kara Walters mentioned. While she was not as flashy as some in the pros, in her day she was a totally DOMINATE center. Few can say they were college Champion, WNBA Champion, and AP National Player of the Year. While rightly so, Lobo gets accolades for what she accomplished early in...

KK or Kayleigh, who's your guess?

Kayleigh may start but in 2027. A guard lineup of KK, Kayleigh and Blanca would be a frightening defensive line up for other teams to face.

There’s been a Blanca sighting in Storrs

Dude. Good points-I will add one more. For several years, South Carolina and Notre Dame sent their quick guards around picks and consistently got to the basket for layups or foul shots. Last year, with the best example being the Championship game with SC, other teams needed to rely more on 3's...

Christyn signs with Hapoel Rishon Lezion

Some injuries are slower than others to recover from. Sometimes the mental recuperation has as much to do with later success as the physical side. Seems like a reasonable opportunity for Christyn to work on both.

There’s been a Blanca sighting in Storrs

Couple of additions to add: -Everyone is commenting on Blanca's defense being the key to her getting some minutes. She would not be at UConn unless she felt she could be a primary player, excelling on both offense and defense. Perhaps offense will determine her minutes since we alreay have a...

    Another Azzi Workout

If I was coaching another team, this video would be scary.

    International Huskies Question

To further comment on Dude's post, I spent several year's working throughout Europe and since I did not want to literally lose sleep over the Huskies, I typically watched recordings (many options available) the next day. Only a few games a year would motivate me to watch at 1AM. Plugging the...

Valkyries thread (Tip Hayes, Kaitlyn Chen)

Am I the only one who is lacking in their knowledge of Norse mythology? Always was curious why this name was chosen. Valkyrie, in Norse mythology, any of a group of maidens who served the god Odin and were sent by him to the battlefields to choose the slain who were worthy of a place in Valhalla.

    The LIV of basketball

Don't see how this would work without the ability for players to go between leagues. Non-US players work locally to make the NBA and many fringe NBA players use the foreign leagues to extend their earnings or upgrade their skills. Many of the high draft choices were "unpaid" professionals that...
