    Azzi to Dallas Wings???

I'd ask Paige who she wants. You want her in Dallas for her whole career if you are Dallas mgmt unless you think Fam is incredible. Secondly I don't believe Betts is going to be that good. Third imo Azzi is just flat out better than Miles. Fourth, imo it's a huge mistake to go after a player...

You mean those same teams that UCONN has beaten these last 30+ years? Yeah as they watch UCONN win 12 titles and go to final four after final four, I'm sure they are thrilled that their players are less tired.

Talent trumps coaching but when combined...you get 12 National Titles

Are we arguing? If so, what’s our argument? After UCONN won in 1995, wouldn’t Tennessee fans say that players in 1996-1998 were foxhole players, and “know they were going to win,” especially with Holdsclaw? She was the #1 recruit just like Stewie. Same with Griner, - she was regarded as...

Talent trumps coaching but when combined...you get 12 National Titles

Yeah I guess it's how we interpret 1 of the initial questions from the poster fansince17 said - "When did anyone win when they didn't have the best talent?" You had mentioned from above "especially since we saw how good Stewart would become and how good she was in the post season. " I...

Talent trumps coaching but when combined...you get 12 National Titles

In terms of college- Baylor was stacked in 2013 Griner may have been considered at the time the most dominant player ever in college at the time. And Sims was considered an off-the-charts pg. In fact Sims was considered so great that they put her on the 2014 World Cup team despite it being very...

Talent trumps coaching but when combined...you get 12 National Titles

I'll defer to you and puppylove. I was thinking that Jen and kara were not "most talented" but more grit players that won POY honor not as much for being "most talented." The teams were just so good. . In part they didn't win the next 2 yaers vs the talented Tennessee. Might it have been forr...

Talent trumps coaching but when combined...you get 12 National Titles

In terms of titles, I didn't follow 1995 team but I suspect that was more "unit" vs having the best talent. The 2003 team and 2004 team in which Geno had made the infamous comment "We have Diana and you don't." And the freshmen-led Stewart team in 2013. Baylor was considered the best. A...

Not for nothing but you did say -- "I see she played 14 minutes, but I kept flipping channels because of the blowout." You made it sound like you didn't like blowouts. Anyhow that was a very small part of my post - but most of the other part regarding Blanca and the 14 minutes you missed - it...

    Loyola Postgame Thread

I'm surprised some fans found the game boring. or quite a few others complained/agreed with the complaints. And as far as Blanca, she handles the ball like a guard ,she has court vision like a guard, she passes like a guard, she penetrates in the lane like a guard, she appears to be a decent...

Sorry you missed her. She came into game in 1st qtr. and very quickly she contributed. One play she caught a pass in the backcourt went near coast-to-coast all-the-while two defenders tried to squeeze her at halfcourt. She drove between them and when she got close to the basket made a beauty...

    UConn-FSU post game

Don't agree with this perspective one bit. We are number 1 in the country for a reason. Barring injury SS and Azzi will be all-Americans. There is no reason for those us that are certain this will happen in our opinion to not say it. And there is zero reason not to celebrate this latest game or...

    UConn-FSU post game

He can't press for an entire game. Otherwise he'd complelety humiliate opponents. Thta's why there is no reason to coach "40 minutes of hell." Press enough to win the game comfortably.

    UConn-FSU post game

Other teams have scholarship players too. You can't shut them out. And when you are pressing/pushing pace and aggressively going for steals, you are going to get beat at times from somewhere. The tradeoff is worth it in order to keep pushing pace.

UConn stats.... What the heck is N.I.S.E. ? Why does it matter...?

Not if UCONN gets the OReb. Or if the other team turns the ball over more. In fact the more shots UCONN takes at the basket vs the other team only taking 2's - pace of play could also be of benefit.
