IMO you've made it a big deal over very little. I'll stop there.

    Player of the year?

Yes but I was replying specifically to the below in bold. Not what was done in the NCAAT. I realize in NCAAT, she struggled to score efficiently but POY is reg season still I think? And i perused the stats and back then the Big East was pretty good vs top 25 teams other than UCONN. And overall...

    Player of the year?

I believe Angel McCoughty was a higher scorer than Maya Moore. Who should have won the award(s)? There's a reason why advanced stats were created. If they are looked at, it's not close.

As a result some of us fans don't make a big deal over a 2 game stretch in which they don't play as well but they still win. And stil enjoy the wins, and at least one of the games if not both.

I'm sorry I goofed. In the Prov Thread someone (don’t want to name) said game was "tough to watch." I thought you provided "A like." I goofed. My bad. It's all about preferences. And if that's your preference great which is mine too. And I didn’t know if it's the same for you I can have a...

    Player of the year?

Couldn't disagree more. Sarah's "rough patch" is highly exaggerated amongst UCONN fans. Please cite what we call a rough patch and compare that to others? Let's compare the advanced stats -- SS has a higher PER, higher TS, higher EFG%, higher OREb%, DREB%, TRB%, higher assist%, higher Win...

I I guess it comes down to as a fan how much does the schedule matter to each person. For me, if I'm going to spend 2 hours of my day watching a game, I want to be entertained. Geno's style imo fits the exact way his teams need to play and the style he employs is just fun to watch which is why I...

    Providence Postgame Thread

Fun game. Enjoyed watching. Loved the pace of play. When they play like that, always enjoyable to watch regardless if they miss or not. OFC provided they win.

Some people are "built" to be concerned over anything. Others exactly opposite, For me 2 reasons which have a cumulative effect: 1--- Sarah has been sick as a result all other players can get exposed. Sarah is the number 1 player . That means so much more than just her points. When your number...

    Villanova Postgame Thread

As usual – the analysis on here overall is way too harsh. I couldn’t watch the game live. So I taped it and read comments before I watched,. After watching, I’m just adding my take; I hate to sound like a downer on here (for those than enojoy being a downer.) but I enjoyed watching the game...

    Excellent, short article on Azzi

I think she is more than that. But anyhow she is a unique jump shooter. That's her strength. Why should she go against her strength in games other than occasionally on some specific plays here or there? When she is on the court, I'm sure she has a mindset that the game is not all about her. Sure...

    Excellent, short article on Azzi

Doubt it. 1---- A mostly jump shooter doesn't get fouled as much, 2--- A jump shooter that shoots 95% from /t line, more like the defense being uncomfotable getting too close to her.

    Marquette Postgame Thread

I missed the beginning of the game. Now re-watching the game again - I believe Serah Williams was sick too.

Why was Marquette game closer than expected?

Okay thank you. I see you are using Tovrik. And this makes my head spin at certain times with all these stats but Tovrik cannot account for a player like Sarah Strong being sick. From what I understand Tovrik is more full season as well. Not as much game to game. Game to game comparison there's...

Does UConn Have a Serious Rebounding Problem?

Not a serious problem with a healthy and ill-free Sarah and Blanca. They'll get beat on the boards by some teams but their team is built to shoot, press, and play fast. Every team is not perfect. There are no assurances. Last year if UCONN didn't shoot well in FF and Finals, outcomes could be...
