Hockey East at the garden always sells out. Very rare that it isn't great hockey. Fans willing to pay for great hockey. They save 500 for the teams that make it to the garden. Typically, a big secondary market depending on who makes the finals.
Used to live in the neighborhood in the early 80’s. Had a fairly nice baseball facility and hosted a number of early season tournaments. Brought in a lot of northern midwest schools to play some place warm during the early season. A lot of “snow birds” happy to pay to watch pretty good baseball.
UConn chose to take a payout from Fenway Group to play in Boston, a financial decision for UConn. BC has no reason to return the ‘gesture”.
As a fan I refuse to attend another football game in a baseball stadium.
In my mind one of the issues the NCAA has is the price of tickets. Worcester hosts NCAA Hockey on a fairly regular basis. If BC is playing I will likely go to the game, price doesn’t matter. If BC isn’t playing I am not paying $40.00 for a ticket. I am not bringing kids at $27.50 per ticket...
