What attendance would constitute a good showing on Saturday?

I attended the Stony Brook game a few years ago. I was one of probably 500 Stony Brook fans at the Rent. Scheduling CCSU makes sense for UConn. They should do it annually.

ESPN, Big East Reunite: Includes MBB games

What makes you think that ESPN cares that much about getting UConn "for cheap" anyway? They have a ton of money to spend on other programs. One more program wouldn't make much of a difference if they understood it to be worth it.

Maybe it's best to stay quiet if the Big East really does have a competitive advantage... I wouldn't say shhhhhit. lol P.S: I know UConn fans weren't around when the NBE was relaunched and prob didn't care to follow the NBE in its early days. But Val did an amazing job re-building this...

    Got Summer Plans?

Been on paternity leave the last couple of months. I need to escape NYC for a week or so before returning to office but the wife thinks is a bad idea. Is it okay to drive out 2-3 hours away with a 10-week baby for a 4-day shore getaway? For the experienced folks - would you recommend it? In my...

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

Yeah. I get it to a certain extent. But damnnn. We are talking about a top-notch SEC school. SEC schools already have huge revenue sources and large athletic budgets If a top-tier SEC schools cannot figure out a way to balance their budgets or even make a profit despite being on the top tier of...

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

This is scary. Universities are willing to continue to get deep in debt for athletics in this revenue sharing environment. Holy Shy#t. the corruption in academia is worse than I thought

Who are the top 10 coaches in CBB as of today? (Rank them)

Interesting case of lower case nate being better than upper case Nate. Usually it's the other way around

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

Remember - the cartel is not above the law. Any attempt to cap revenue based on specific sports will end up in lawsuits. In a free-market scenario a school should be able to share all the revenue created by a given program (sport) with the athletes that helped generate that revenue. The more...

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

I just hope the revenue sharing somehow reduces the outrageous coaching salaries and levels things out a bit on that front... but I'm probably being foolish

    OT: Rule of 55 (Retirement)

I been investing heavily in real estate for the past 8 years. I'm glad I started young. Now I have 4 triplex multi-family homes in NJ. It's been a great tax saving strategy in addition to the cash flows. The homes were new construction which for me (someone who didn't want to get into the...
