IMO, the best team usually wins. MSU beat both Baylor and UCONN, the favorite of most to win the championship. Their win over UCONN was not a one-off, but I do think that the win took a lot out of MSU and that they did not perform their best against SC. However, SC was the best team in the...
I think you underestimate the desire of Baylor to win a championship. I guarantee you that there are two seniors on the Baylor squad who will not be elated just to make a FF and lose. They will be deeply disappointed that they did not win a championship. And Mulkey is not the type to lose and...
I don't care about the SOS at this point since all of the creampuffs have been consumed. Just bring on Texas on Monday and probably Texas again in the Big 12 tourney. Playing them twice should be very helpful in preparing for the Big Dance. There are some good middling teams in the Big 12...
Now, let's compare post play.
Brown 20.3 point and 10.1 rebounds per game
Cox 15.0 points, 9.4 rebounds
Cohen 11.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game
Now you go...
See what I did there. I sucked you in with the comparison of the three-point stats and then wham, I hit you with the post stats.
There sure is a lot of convincing going on that Baylor and MSU are not really a threat.
It’s OK to have challengers unlike years past. That’s what makes it fun.
Mulkey scheduled the way she did to bring her team along slowly, which obviously worked. If you watch Baylor I will guarantee you that you do NOT want to be in their region. I truly hope that Baylor is the 2 seed in ND's region. Nothing is a better motivator than disrespect. And it will be...
The great Muffett, who has also had her share of talent, has only one one championship. And who remembers the last time that Tara won a championship? Actually, it was 1992. Neither have won a championship in the past 15 years, so once they take some more hardware home they shouldn't even be...
All UCONN needs at this point is a tasty morsel of an AAC opponent to feast on. No more challenges left until the regional final or first game in the FF.
They’re good but they’re no UCONN. So the answer is no, they are not a championship caliber team. IMO, they’re are three teams that have a chance at a championship.
That was possibly the most complete game Baylor has played this season. A total 42 point butt whoopin’ on OSU’s home court, 87-45. I think they’re ready for UT.
I don't see anyone running either MSU or Baylor into the ground. Both are very well conditioned teams and with Baylor's lack of depth all of the starters will be accustomed to playing almost the entire game.
I agree that the biggest threats are MSU and Baylor because they are the BIGGEST.
But then again, Durr was playing against the UCONN defense and Collier was playing against the Louisville defense, so of course Collier is going to have better stats. Plus, Collier had four other AA-caliber players to take the heat off of her.
Baylor had Stanford, UCLA and Kentucky, usually three consistent top teams, on the schedule. So there are your three ranked teams. UCLA is currently 7 and Stanford is currently ranked 14th.
