South Florida has no traction. I don't know where Bohls is getting that. Talked to people in the KU AD yesterday. Nothing new, 50/50 on expanding, no four team expansion without BYU, but possible four team expansion with two football only. KU still wants UConn and UC, they would vote for...
Without BYU there is zero chance of expansion by four. There are three schools that are leaning toward no expansion, and one is ISU of all schools. The whole thing is a clown show.
I disagree with MountainMan. Texas and Texas Tech already own the Dallas area, the last thing the Big 12 needed was another Texas team near Dallas, particularly a small private school. TCU was not a good add. It should have been Louisville and WVU last time. UConn would be in the ACC, where...
The Big 12 already made a long term decision, based on short term results by adding TCU. I hope they do not make that mistake again. TCU is a private school with a limited fan base, that is one bad coaching hire away from being a disaster P5 addition. Does anyone believe Herman is going to...
I never claimed to be an insider. We do business with the KU athletic department and so I know a number of people there. Just posting what I hear, and telling everyone to take it for what it is worth. I have no direct contact to the Chancellor or the Big 12 office.
Kansas is pushing hard for UConn. Chancellor says they are a "like minded university". UConn would boost the conference academically. Kansas wants UC and UConn. But the reality is, that KU only pulls so much weight because our football sucks. I told everybody weeks ago that KU was dead set...
This comes from a person working in the AD's office, not the Chancellor's office, so like I said take it for what it is worth. I just found it interesting.
Anyone that has been to Houston knows it belongs to A&M. Houston joining the Big 12 will not change that. Houston joining the PAC12 would not change that. There is nothing Houston can do to change that.
