    Locked on Uconn

I enjoyed LOU last year, but thought it was overly ambitious to try to produce a daily podcast without dilluting the product. I also think a co-host would have helped the show.

Solo Ball to the Orioles ?

I always suspected that was O's tattoo on his right shoulder.

OT: Most influential U.S. athlete of the past 25 years?

Cal Ripken Jr. was influential in sports history primarily because of his legendary "Iron Man" record, which showcased unprecedented durability and a throwback work ethic that helped revive baseball's image. His influence also extended to changing how the shortstop position is played and his...

Reibe and Furphy at FIBA U19s

Would someone please summarize how Reibe and Furphy are doing in this tourney? I'm too lazy to go through 18 pages. Thanks

    Jacob Ross Commits

Speaks volumes about the coaching staff, and culture.

AK stay or go quick poll?

We can't afford another nearly full season shooting slump, and neither can Karaban's professional aspirations. I love Alex and the role he played in winning two National Championships, but his performance handcuffed the team last year. I think a change is in the best interest of Alex and the...

    18-1

    The Difference

Uconn is now a confident team. The big win at South Carolina changed this team from "We think we can" to "We can and we will". It was also a transtion point for Paige, IMO. This also looks to like the best coached team we've ever had. Win today, and we become the team that others try to emulate...

    Geno v Cori

The game wasn't about what Close didn't do, but Geno's plan to push tempo was very effective. Truth is, there was also a huge talent disparity, and the same is true regarding experience.

Before Jaylin Stewart and his family reached the parking lot after UConn lost its NCAA Tournament game, he was being contacted by other programs.

I think not naming them has proven to have consquences. This is not the first year for this, and Hurley has refused to name names. That's his choice, and if he thinks it's in the best interest of his program, I support his decision. However, there are consequences in whatever decision he makes.
