    Golf help

I wish I could help, but I'm having a similar battle. I categorize my golf as schizophrenic. I'm self-taught, and at my age I expect distance loss, but the erratic nature of my game varying round to round and swing to swing is frustrating. The last couple years I'd have rounds in the high...

    RIP: Chuck Mangione

    One of my favorites

    NHT: Anyone else see this?

You can only play in the time period that you played. The fascinating thing is the 11x all-NBA, which puts both at the top of the game in their era consistently, and the roughly equal number of triple-doubles and pts-rebs-asts, equally affecting the game in all areas.

    Hurley media presser

Don Hutson played WR for Green Bay. Dan Hurley coaches in Storrs. Mutley was a cartoon dog. Not sure who Hutley is.

    RIP: Chuck Mangione

Chuck was introduced to me by a couple of upstate NY guys I met freshman year in college, one from Buffalo the other from Rochester, and both trumpet players in HS. His music was a staple of college and med school. The kind of music to relax and lift your soul in the evening. Immediately put...

    Windows to Mac

I’m feeling this post with my very soul. I too don’t get the Mac file system. Or how they think they own your data. I don’t like at all that Apple shoehorns you to use their devices and software as they think you should. Unfortunately Windows has trended that direction, but I’ll stick with...

OT: What was your first job as a teenager?

Age 15. Two jobs that summer. 1. Washing dishes in the kitchen at Hartford Hospital. 2. Lifeguard at Avon Country Club

    Sinner and Alcaraz

I think I'm just going to enjoy their matches - and they'll meet in these type of finals a lot. Great, explosive tennis. Alcaraz' first serve deserted him today, particularly in the 4th set. Sinner jumps on every opportunity to attack. It'll be fun.

Shorter assessment: This team is loaded.

What's the best sporting event/game you ever attended

1999 Ryder Cup at The Country Club in Brookline Was at the 17th green for this putt: Second place? The 1978 Yankees-Red Sox playoff at Fenway - the "Bucky (F.) Dent" game.

    Has soccer infected youth basketball?

The ref is worse. Staring right at it and gets it wrong.

    OT: Jon Rahm

I've never been a Rahm fan, even when he was on the main tour. But he does have talent. I think after he made the par with his long putt from off the back of the green on 15, running it 10 feet past then missing the comebacker, he lost interest. It was a really tough putt, uphill through...

    Alex Karaban is BACK

The NBA loves guys who can shoot the lights out. If he does that consistently next year - no more of the 3 game 2/20 slumps from the arc and hitting almost all the open ones - and he'll have a shot. He'll have a better shot if he can develop some deception in his game that lets him get to the...
