I became a women's fan with the arrival of Rebecca Lobo and have since grown to favor the women's side of the game. Why you ask? Simple. The women have a feel for the fundamentals of the game. They play it beautifully, moving the ball around the perimeter and playing the inside - out game when they have the right combination of players. Additionally, it is a pleasure to follow an athlete's college career for all four years instead of just one or two years. Finally, what more can be said after the names Diana and Maya are uttered...that's women's basketball at its finest and I for one am happy to be a fan of such fine athletes.
