Well, Maria Ingemi (on her new Valkyries blog site) has posted a good piece on the Golden State situation....I don't think it was a bad move in the end. Maybe I'm biased, but I do believe Marta can fit into the Valks' system and am happy to have her "back in the Bay!"...

Kinda my point....the NIL bag is based on just winning current games I guess for the donors--but it seems many of these young women see grass greener there, there...no over there. I mean some of them are going to earn big bucks, but others? The $$ can't be that great for the many middling...

What would happen if the WNBA was like the NWSL and let younger players under 18 into the league if they had the talent? I imagine the portal might change a tad, no?

Cal didn't "lose" Suarez....she graduated and chose to move on. There IS a difference. Beyond that, I think Charmin very much likes Cal and wouldn't leap across the Bay regardless. It's a challenging job, given finances, faciltities, etc...but she's a great fit and I appreciate the teams...

It's been fun watching Gisella Maul finally at full speed and become a go to player for the Bears. She scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, collected her third double-double of the season with 17 points and a career-tying 13 rebounds in Cal's win over GT. She was a top recruit for Texas...

I was impressed with Louisville and see why they remain undefeated. Well-balanced and deep team....

Cal beat Stanford (once) and ND and took Syracuse to triple OT before losing....we'll see how they do, but the toughest part of the schedule is behind them... (now down 2 starters to injury) but maybe they should be bumped up a bit eh?

This was the first win and I enjoyed the game very much. One of our starters got injured (ankle) during the game (frosh Taylor Barnes) and our starting point guard has been out for a few weeks so Sunday's game will be a challenge, but I'll take this win and appreciate it. ND is a great program...

Cal won both last season, so 3 out of 4. It was a fun game though, regardless. Looking forward to the matchup tonight at home against Notre Dame.
