Yup, it sucks but all the other bluebloods have lost in NC games too (just consider how many titles they'd all have by now if they hadn't lost, excluding the ones where they played each other). We play in enough of them and it was bound to happen to us too.

I was proud of how Hurley handled everything last night. He coached a game plan that gave us the best chance to win and we stayed in striking distance until the final minute. He was gracious in defeat, complimentary of Michigan, and grateful for what his team gave him in this tourney.

I'd rather lose a NC game than not be in one. This team gave it their all but just didn't have enough tonight. Congrats to Michigan and proud to be a UConn fan. They gave us a memorable run.

We're playing with house money - not many people expected us to get this far considering how sluggish we were at times in conference play, and the way St John's hammered us at MSG.
The NCAA tourney is a different animal for UConn.
Correct. Not sure when they started deciding it by highest overall seeds but back then it was by a coin flip.
(Arizona was a higher overall seed than Michigan in this tourney so AZ wore white on Saturday. Not that it helped them.)
