Playing a season in the spring makes no sense to me. What happens at the conclusion of the season? You head straight into summer conditioning/practices and then into a fall season with pretty much no break?
IMHO - a couple of points to make -
1. There is no "preseason." Teams scrimmage but it's basically a practice that tries to simulate game conditions. However coaches are not treating it like a game completely as they are trying to work on things within their own organization. It's not a game...

It will sort itself out. Sheehan gets North Haven and Cheshire. Cheshire gets Sheehan and Southington. If they respectively make the playoffs Sheehan could see Bloomfield & Ansonia. Cheshire could get Darien/Newtown/Greenwich. I'm sure the polls will reflect those results.

Courant doesn't really venture into Fairfield County so take it for what it's worth.
Gametime poll is the media poll. The Day is the coaches poll. The Courant "poll" I think is just one guy at the Courant. Gametime poll will probably be out on the Tuesday prior to the opening week.
