Silas is really good.
Props to the kid from DePaul who played in straight up glasses. What a look. I love it.
As for the worriers about the final margin, I guess Hurley probably won't go with our deep bench in our next high leverage game.
I don’t know about this comparison stuff but this teams record is better than both of those teams as of Jan 8 and their lone loss is by 4 to the current #1 team in the country down 40% of their starting lineup.
So while I personally think 24 is the best UConn team of all time I’m saying that...
That was actually one of my favorite regular season games from that year to re-watch because they started out slow and PC looked like they were going to run them out of the gym and by halftime I think UConn was up by 18 after Hassan hit an off-balance 25 footer at the buzzer. The gym was a morgue.
AK had a halfhearted closeout on a three that had me screaming until I realized it was Mela who's a sub-30 percent three point shooter for his career. Just one of those nights (that tends to happen in Providence for some reason).
I don't care if he starts or not but I've been very happy with Stewart's contributions lately. He looks a lot more active and engaged, and you can tell that Hurley has more confidence in him. Would still like to see him get a little bit of license to create in some kind of iso situation...
