Most of the Indiana fans in my section were totally fine. There were also a handful of Texas fans, also nice. There were probably 8 total Indiana fans in the section though that were just absolutely awful. Screaming "Indiana" during the national anthem. Screaming at Donovan "you suck...
FWIW the lower bowls were heavily IU fans. There were very few Texas or Louisville fans.
A lot of lower sections, including mine, were 80% IU. The upper sections were more UConn. Tomorrows tickets will be cheap…
That location opened sometime around 2015. Madison opened a bit before that. The Clinton one was around since the early 90s. Grand in Guilford is pretty unreliable, in general, I think the Grand name comes with more hype than it deserves these days.
On the Guilford topic, shoutout to...
For context, Bama beat a Spanish Select team last summer: https://www.si.com/college/alabama/bamacentral/live-updates-alabama-vs-spanish-select-team
There isn't a ton of info out there that I can find on the select teams and their rosters. Might be a matter of translating the term "spanish...
It’s crazy how much New Haven style has spread in the last five to ten years. Totally random coincidences, the last two places I traveled both had New Haven style pizzerias. First I saw a place a few weeks ago in Palo Alto that was fully New Haven Style. And now I’m in Ireland if all places, and...
I'll take the bait... a couple owns a 12 seat restaurant that makes really good pizza, with really good ingredients. They work the restaurant themselves every day they are open. They rotate their menu 8 times a year and roll out a creative special pizza every single week.
Do you not like...
It’s the 4th best pizzeria in the town of Guilford. It’s just ok.
Bufalina
Carpanzano’s (partly because they also make surprisingly good fresh pasta)
Grand
Rocco’s

This is pretty wild, completely makes stuff up. We didn't even play Notre Dame that year! For a minute I thought this would be a gold mine for obscure basketball stats.
I never thought I'd live to see the day that Pepe's serves up a Buffalo Chicken pizza and tries to pass it off as fancy.
Also 100% agreed, the pizza thread needs @8893
The storyline the metrics tell is not an offensive problem that’s driving our losses. Shots fall sometimes, sometimes they don’t. We will occasionally lose a game where the other team plays well and our threes don’t fall, that’s not completely avoidable for any team.
A consistent theme in our...
Gargano Pasta in Old Saybrook is launching pizza starting today. If there other food is any indication, I'd be surprised if this wasn't a new entrant in the "best pizza in CT" category. Menu here: Gargano Pasta and Italian Market - Order Online - Delivery - Old Saybrook
This has been a cool...
Used to be a place in Madison, Village Pizza, that cut it into squares. They had a fire that forced them to close, bringing Grand Apizza to town eventually and sparing the children of Madison from Greek pizza squares at birthday parties from then on.
