At her post game press conference, Syracuse Coach complained about the Tournament committee always placing them in UConn's bracket. It does seem unfair, historically. But actually, nobody really wants to be in UConn's bracket.

Last year, UConn had already defeated SC handily on the way to the NC. But one year, UConn had lost to ND like three times before defeating them in the Finals. Or am I misremembering?
On the men's side, Tommy Penders played and started at both Basketball and Baseball. The Penders family from Stratford CT. have a long tradition at UConn.
