    Maria Conlon Update

This appeared on my Facebook feed this morning. "WestConn (Danbury) ended the season with a big victory over Umass Dartmouth. First time in 17 games WestConn has beat them. I couldn’t be happier for our four seniors for them to go out like that. This team fought all year. I don’t think I have...

AP Top 25 Week 15: no changes in top 5

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. The Boneyard is truly a well informed fan base.

    Announcers

Isn't there a delay between Radio and TV? IOW, they are not in sync? Seems to me that would be disconcerting.

AP Top 25 Week 15: no changes in top 5

Dawn Staley just won her 500th game. How old was Geno when he won 500? How old is Dawn? IOW, is she young enough to catch Geno?

Olivia Vukosa is a McDonald’s All American

Time to revisit one of my first Youtube videos from 18 years ago. Hard to believe, Maya didn't even get Player of the game.

    Toughest Championship Run

Last year, UConn had already defeated SC handily on the way to the NC. But one year, UConn had lost to ND like three times before defeating them in the Finals. Or am I misremembering?

    Recruits at Game Today

On the men's side, Tommy Penders played and started at both Basketball and Baseball. The Penders family from Stratford CT. have a long tradition at UConn.

    Recruits at Game Today

    Kelly Schumacher played professional volleyball.

    No Blanca for Tenn

I don't think it's Geno's decision to make. I hope he relies on his medical staff.

    Allie NIL tee 😀

I remember the Iowa coach remarked after their game with UConn, that she was surprised that Allie played limited minutes. It seems Allie was heavily recruited by Iowa.

    How's this year's 3 pt shooting?

The fact that concerns me is UConn 3 point shooting percentage in the first quarter of games. I'm guessing it's not very good. Why? Is it something to do with warmups? Back in the ICE ages, I remember warmups with four or more balls being shot at approximately the same time. I always hated...

What makes UConn so good for so long

This popped up on my Youtube feed. A blast from the past. This game was a gem. With starters Shea Ralph, Amy Duran, Sue Bird, and Swin Cash all out with injuries, the Huskies, fresh off a bad loss against Boston College, now must travel to face a very good Rutgers team in a much anticipated...

What makes UConn so good for so long

It helps to sign the top recruit in the nation. I don't think Geno has won one championship without at least one superstar. Last year, he started three number one recruits. That's a nice advantage.

Seton Hall Game moved from Sunday to Saturday (merged)

The local New York radio station was driving me crazy this morning. They kept reporting that the storm would arrive Saturday morning around 1 AM. I'm pretty sure he meant SUNDAY morning at 1 AM, since the day changes from Saturday to Sunday at midnight. At least, I hope that's what they meant.
