When I watch how our team celebrates after victories in this tournament, especially compared to other teams, I'm amazed how stoic the players appear. They are on a mission! They are focused on the goal! They honor our past. They believe in the program! They represent us well!
I loved last years team. Loved Reese and RJ and wanted them another year. There were a lot of question marks at the start of this season. A lot of new players to integrate. My concerns however did not impact my feelings for this new iteration. I've loved this team from the beginning! There was something about this group that just pulled me and Mrs. Fleud in. I had no way of knowing this year would be magical. I don't subscribe to the attitude a team must do x for me to be happy. Sports has taught me to enjoy the ride when things go well because so much stands in the way to prevent it. I don't force expectations into the equation with this type of entertainment.
And what a ride it has been! Thank you team and coaches!
