I put two choices in case you have more than one selection.

I voted South Carolina because of Notre Dame's injuries. Not convinced of Baylor yet.

Really difficult to determine

South Carolina and Tennessee have struggled.
Notre Dame is denuded
Baylor and Maryland haven't played anybody

It's possible that SC and UTenn will start playing close to their potential
ND and Maryland esp the latter will be shocked by the experience of playing us next month.

If things break in a bizarre way (actually not so bizarre)
3 or 4 of the listed teams may be replaced

Who knows by whom

The scramble this season for the 2 through 25 positions is going to be very chaotic and interesting. Nice to be up here looking down at it, ain't it!

At this moment in time, I like Baylor. at the 2.

ND has some injury issues, South Carolina has not played up to their potential yet and so far, Tennessee looks to be a team of accomplished athletes running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Baylor just beat two ranked teams.
19USF and 19Michigan State

Is that anybody?

Are the other alternative no. 2s doing/playing better?

Tennessee will play texas and stanford soon, we will see.

Scarolina will play uconn soon and other ranked foes.

Is there any top-25 team that has looked convincing, other than UConn?

(Oregon State...maybe?...)

I picked South Carolina as the #2 team. They are playing better after coach Staley got after them the other day for their lack of focus. Notre Dame has played a soft schedule so far. They have Ohio St and our beloved Lady Huskies coming up. So this will be a real test for the ND program. Baylor? Nope. And that team with the Orange. Aint' happening. Maryland was my next option as the #2 team. But like ND, Maryland has not been tested yet. They have a pretty soft schedule as well. So South Carolina has been tested, in my view. So they get my#2 vote.

I find it difficult to think of any of the WBB teams below Number 10 as "contenders".

I take SC at #2 and ND at #3.

I was going to put ND at 2, but with the uncertainty of Turner I put them at 3. Without Turner, ND may not even be a top 5 team.

The rest of the field is not that good as exemplified by today's game of #4 Tennessee vs. #8 Texas.

South Carolina slogged their way past Hawaii 67-51 Sunday night. Not sure they'd beat Baylor or ND at the moment. But it's early.

We don't play UCONN until February.

They seemed to have a good time in Hawaii from the videos published; that good time did not translate to the basketball court, however.

Texas? If they beat Tenn. today...

I dunno. Did you watch the Texas-Tenn game? That looked anything but convincing...

I mean, they went on the road and beat Tenn (for whatever that's worth this season/decade), but still not sure any Top 25 team has looked close to convincing this season (and yeah, I know it's November), other than UConn.
