+1 I can't look past those arms and how they will be ripping away a running back from the first down marker and goal line during his career.

This made my day. After losing out on Brodie, which was inevitable, I am glad to hear Levy and Vinci are coming aboard. More athletes more well built young men to come in compete and push for playing time. This will hopefully raise everyones play. This class certainly has no shortage of Big, Strong, Fast, athletes. One or two more commitments should wrap things up.

Welcome Mr. Vinci to UConn. Only 5 posts to welcome a UConn vs a slew of posts to lament over a kid going elsewhere.

Welcome Wyatt and Levy and all the kids choosing to rep at UConn. Well done young men. You'll love it here.

By my count we are up to 26 recruits. The 21 listed on Scout, plus the center from Texas, the two WR tranfers, The LB from Maryland, and the OL transfer from Penn State.

I will look around if I can finish up my reading for class tomorrow. Other wise it will have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks for the info. I will check it out! Appears to have good size and agility. Definitely a good athlete. PP has brought in some good quality depth along the OL and DL which is where good teams are formed. Still hoping the secondary and pass coverage comes around next year.

i thought he was orginally being talked about as a walk on but then PP gave him a ship and he started class here this semester.

This may help with Bockeloh. This was the post I made on 1/17 after Dez broke word that he had committed and enrolled. The article which I think Dan refers to is linked at the bottom.

From Dez's blog:

Bockeloh played at Cypress Creek High School in Houston and graduated in the spring of 2011. He delayed his enrollment to college until this semester. He earned Greater Houston Academic All-State honors and also participated in track and field.

As for Air Force, it appears that he did commit to in August of 2010. However, it seems that he did not enroll there for some reason. I don't think it was an academic issue, his SAT score was 1770. Last year he had a 77 Scout Grade on ESPN. Looks like there may have been interest at that time from Florida and Georgia as well as Cincinnati, Ball State, Buffalo, Florida Atlantic and of course, Air Force. With an additional 1/2 year to develop and mature, he appears to be a solid pick-up for the Huskies!

Though it's from the fall of 2010, here's a good article about him from a Houston source.

Is it too early to start a catch-phrase for this guy. "Vene, Vidi, Vinci!!!" (I came, I saw, I tackled yo' @ss!).

Smart, disciplined (has to be with an Air Force offer) and big. All qualities you want in a player. Good get.
