A few interesting tidbits:

I think the team has the last 7 Defensive POYs from the WNBA.

Geno mentions great offensive players who also want to play defense. That may be a reference to who was not selected as much as who was selected.

When Sue talks, everyone else listens. She's the E.F. Hutton on the basketball court.

Geno commends Angel for her growth. She was under control last night and really, really good. The other team is getting a little tired and Angel comes in and outworks everyone.

Since Jeff Walz at L'ville sat Angel McCoughtery down and played a 1/2 hour "highlight" reel of all the times she moaned, yelled, & berated, her teammates and made her realize that being a great teammate makes the whole team better! That Geno mentioned she was the most changed player since she's been on the USA roster! Candace Parker has always been a ME player and the USA selection committee wanted WE players so Candace didn't make the team!
The 12 chosen are an amazing group of people as well as an amazing group of athletes! This may be the best USA WBB Olympic team ever!
IMO even if the LA Sparks finish this regular season as the #1 team, they will not win the championship! And IMO Nneka Owgumike is the heart & the soul of the Sparks, not Parker!

In the WNBA playoffs MN, PHX, and NY have a better shot to win the Championship than LA because of teamwork and defense! PHX still has a tremendously talented team that will play better defense!

Stewie's parents were there, right? What a thrill it must have been for them for her to be announced as a started on the U.S. Olympic Team. Coach really takes care of his kids.
