US Qualifies for 2024 Olympics!

So, apparently CONCACAF decided to have the U20 tournament pull double-duty and also serve as the qualifiers for the Olympics. By making the Semi-Finals of the tournament, the US U20 team qualified for the U20 World Cup next year in 2023 (they've gone to every one since 2013), and by making the Final, they've qualified for the 2024 Olympics (which they haven't gone to since 2008). Normally the US gets CONCACAF'd by changes, but this time it worked out!

I haven't bothered watching the games, but seeing every player on the roster on a professional team warms my heart; back in the 90's, I think it was mostly college players.

They were barely challenged by Honduras in Honduras last night. These 18 and 19 yo kids have a nice blend of talent. Two of the better middies are Philly MLS affiliated which has to make Coach Curtin smile, Defense is questionable bu5still in experimental stages.

The US U20's crushed the Dominican Republic U20's 6-0 last night to win the CONCACAF U20 Championship; of course it's only the DR, but at the same time, it's good to see the US being dominant almost all tournament long (besides a weird hiccup against a mediocre Canada team). Even when the US is superior to their CONCACAF opponents, oftentimes dominance is difficult to come by, so Good Job Boys!
