Be sure to read Nan's great game write up, if you haven't already. Here's some fun facts to occupy time until tip off:

1. Kiah Stokes continues to lead UConn in shooting....63% from the field and 81.8% from free throw line. (Minimum 5 attempts)

2. UConn has five players w/ double figures in made 3 pointers. Hartley has 18, Chong 17, Stewie 14, KML 13 and Banks 11. UCF has one player w/ 23 and one w/ 13.

3. UConn has 277 assists in 13 games for an average of 21.3 per. UCF has 122 in 12 games.

4. Stewie and MoJeff have both played 367 minutes. Stewie has 93 combined assists, blocks and steals. So does MoJeff..!!

5. Saniya Chong is 5th on the team in scoring (90) and 5th in minutes (274). She is 2nd in made 3's (17) and 2nd in free throw % at 81.3

6. Stewie scores a point, grabs a rebound, blocks a shot, gives an assist or gets a steal every 50 seconds she is on the court. (440 divided by 367 minutes)

7. UCF has made 48 three point baskets in 12 games. UConn has made twice as many w/ 96 in 13 games.

8. UConn commits 23 combined fouls and turnovers per game. UCF averages 35.5 per game.

9. Last year, UConn scored 82.5 pts/game and gave up 49.8 per game. This year, scoring is up to 84.8 pts and defense is down to 47.5 per game.

10. Total attendance for UConn's 13 games is 104,708 or 8,054 per game. UCF total attendance = 6,741 or 561 per game. (12 games)

Go Huskies..!!!

David - these are really fun posts you have been putting together for our pre-game enjoyment. Particularly like item #4. With Stewart getting press as a possible POY candidate and the other three starters having already reached AA status in previous years, Jefferson can sometimes be overlooked. She is a different type of player from Bird, and likely will not have as good an outside/pull-up shot as her, but she is turning into a very good floor general, she drives and finishes better than Sue, and I think she is more disruptive on the defensive end. I cannot remember enough of Jen's game but I wonder if that might be a better comparison for Jefferson?
