I'm back from Nashville, where we had a load of fun watching a bunch of great basketball games, both in person and on television. It was absolutely wonderful. Still, it is good to be back home and to be able to follow a bit more closely the actions of the baseball team.

Final: #UConn 7, Cincinnati 2. The Huskies use three home runs to power past the Bearcats. Full recap to follow #BleedBlue

UConn offense is starting to show some signs of coming to life and to hit with some power. We'll have to see if that continues. Blake Davey now has 6 homers on the year. Penders is now giving Griffin Garabedian a shot at the DH spot in the lineup (at least against right handed pitching). Garabedian is doing well with this middle of the season try out, getting a couple of hits today including a a 2nd inning homer.

I've watched a lot of SCC Baseball over the years. Kinda cool to see Siena (Amity) and Garbo (ND-WH) go yard in the same inning as team mates.

Game 3. I went to a birthday lunch, got in the car to come home and found that UConn bats were alive again today. 14-2 lead in the 9th inning.

Hit parade so to speak. Nice to get the first AAC series win.

Anthony Kay gave up a two run home run in a difficult 1st inning, but it looks like he settled in nicely after that, throwing 6 innings and giving up only one walk. Also hit a batter. Still, it looks like he did well after that 1st inning.
