So I wonder how they determined that a 15-8-1 record beats out a 14-8 record?

Polonia is out quick after walking the bases loaded and giving up a ball to the next hitter. Ruotolo coming in.

Ruotolo gets a fly out. 7th inning over, with UConn still up by a run.

Two runners on with two out in the bottom of the 7th after Montgomerie plunks a batter. Polonia coming in for the final out of the inning..

Ruotolo's first strikeout of the day ends the 8th inning and strands two USF runners on base.

Big sweep. Wonder how many wins in the tourney is enough to get them in?

And we get memphis, probably the least talented team in the conference, after pat gets 3 days of rest. Excellent.

I would like to think that if we could at the very least make it to the semis and beat ECU at least one game which would mean we would have gone 3-2 to get us to 36-24 that would hopefully be enough to get us he 3rd invite from the league. It would need to be ECU & Tulane in the final however since if someone else won the conference like Houston then I think we would be out.
I thought I heard that the AAC had the third highest RPI for a conference only behind the SEC & ACC. Based on that would think we could get 3 teams especially like I said if we can win 3.
Heck, lets just win the thing and not have to worry about it.

Great series once again. If I counted correctly, we lost 13 games by 1 run - that is tough. One win at a time, but at the bare minimum we need to get to the conference championship game and hope for a little RPI boost along the way.

According to the Warren Nolan website, the AAC is 6th in RPI.
