Thoughts on Gendron from Ottawa assistant general manager Randy Lee.

Miles Gendron:

Miles had a tough year last year because he was a first year guy at college, his role was really restrictive so we found he played sort of hesitant and it was tough for us to watch that. He realizes that he has to earn his ice-time and earn his coaches confidence so we he showed last night was great. He looked confident walking the line, he was going in and out of the zone, he wanted the puck, he was much more assertive so that was a really good sign from Miles.

Thoughts on Masonius from Pittsburgh's director of amateur scouting:

“Extremely mobile," said Randy Sexton, the Penguins' director of amateur scouting. "Very mobile. His puck skills are fine. He also plays with some bite. It was a great example of a kid who played at the [United States] Development Program who was buried a bit behind some of the higher-end guys two years ago. But when he got to Hockey East in [Connecticut] this year, he had the opportunity to play a more prominent role and play with more confidence and really was their go-to guy on the back end as a freshman.”

The head coach of the San Jose Sharks' AHL affiliate believes Letunov needs three more years and twenty more pounds.

San Jose Barracuda head coach Roy Sommer also noted the two most noticeable traits in Letunov: his skill and his slight build.

"I thought he was more dynamic in the 3-on-3, but there’s a young kid with a lot of promise. Good size, young, skinny, but you look at three more years, probably put on 20 more pounds,” said Sommer. "He’s got good hockey sense around the puck and he knows where to go."
