UCF thoughts

1. The physical difference between 7-0 and 7-6 is startling.
2. Rebounds! UCF has 7-6 300# Fall, 6-10 325# McBride and 6-9 275# Blair. Shonn Miller outrebounded that trio by himself. In 10 fewer minutes. As a team, we outrebounded UCF 41 - 33. They average 40 to our 37. Facey had 6 boards in 11 minutes!
3. Brimah looked comfortable out there considering he was coming off the long layoff.
4. Nice to see Omar and SamJr contribute some scoring. Sam only played 6 minutes, but he had a couple threes and a couple boards. Omar played 14 and had 3 boards, and assist and three buckets including a three. More importantly, he played some pretty good D.
5. Best overall game by DHam in a while.
6. Remember earlier in the year when it seemed like Rodney wasn't doing anything until the 2nd half? Now he's all about the first half.
7. KO's got to lose the V neck sweater. He looked like Chris Paul's twin brother Cliff in the State Farm commercials.
8. I think this was Jalen's best game as a Husky. 3 of the last 5 games, he's been a positive factor, but 5 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals on top of 5 of 9 shooting with no turnovers, is really a nice line for a freshman point.
9. I mostly like Swin Cash as a half-time analyst. Plus she's still nice to look at. But every now and then she sounds like Dickie Simpkins has been coaching her on her TV skills.

Dickie Simpkins? Ouch! I also like Swin, but she really doesn't have a great announcer's voice. What she does have is great personality.

#4 - Omar had a nice game but Sam did not, don't let the final stats fool you. All his points came in garbage time in the last 3 minutes. When he was mysteriously put in the game in the first half he was awful.

Why would you say Sam was awful. He checked in for OC with 10:12 on the clock , was sub out at the media time out by JA at 7:56. Sam played 2:16 and missed one shot. So he was awful! Give the kid a break. He played the last 3:32 got two rebounds and hit 2 3 pointers. Overall he had a good game in just under 6 minutes of playing time.

He came into the game and immediately jacked up an ill advised shot way too early in the shot clock. He may have done well in garbage time, but when he came in earlier in the game he was a negative.
