Did you miss the announcement about the Big 12 not expanding? Who exactly is on the move?

EDIT: just realized you only posted this b/c Cincy is ranked ahead of UConn. Nice troll job.

We all know this isn't over. The Big 12 isn't expanding right now, but its destruction is coming. Oklahoma is gone, maybe Texas too. The leftover group is going to expand (they have to.) It'll probably be 3-4 years down the road at minimum.

It's over. There will be no movement until we get closer to 2024 (when the B12 GoR expires and schools begin to go their own separate ways), at the earliest. UConn just has to focus on UConn now. In 2025, we'll likely be conference mates with WVU, ISU, KSU, Baylor, etc.

Any list that has Cincy, Colorado St and USF over a public Ivy and Boston College, Tulane and SMU below Houston (and any of the aforementioned schools for that matter) is flat out wrong. I reject it.

It's 100% research driven. Not teaching, education, academic reputation, just research. Tulane is #39 on the regular USNWR list and BC is #31. Cincinnati is #135. Research does matter, but you really need to look at more than just research.

Find the Shanghai Ranking of Global Universities. Frankly, the publishing to parents is different than that shared by Institutions.

But, it doesn't say Top Research schools...

By the way, since the USNWP rankings are considered a gold standard, what does it say that the same publication puts out another set of rankings, also called TOP ____ Universities, which contradict the first, and in a way show how idiosyncratic and arbitrary they are?
