Saw this today and was a bit surprised. Even though Boyle is eligible, I just read that he may Red Shirt this year. Also Marty Mauk from Missouri transferred in this year.

"Tim Boyle is eligible for a redshirt and appears to be a good candidate to spend this season soaking up knowledge on the sidelines in anticipation of a potential starting nod in 2017. Elder is likely mulling a difficult choice between Mauk and last year’s starting signal caller Bennie Coney, who passed for the second-most yards in EKU history. Both are veteran seniors who have proven they can lead successful offenses.

Elder remains tight-lipped about the quarterback battle, and the starter might not be known publicly until the team takes the field for the season opener. A team depth chart released Friday listed the starter as Coney or Mauk or sophomore Tyler Swafford"

makes sense for him to redshirt. Thought that was his plan all along....
Was that before or after Mauk opted to play his final year at the fine academic institution that is EKU? IIRC, Boyle transferred first to EKU.

Tim Boyle should have been redshirted while he was at UConn but we know that that coach that should never be named decided to burn his redshirt.

I wish Tim Boyle well and hope he has a chance to shine this year or next year at EKU

So Boyle is red-shirting at EKU, and Lagow is starting at Indiana... that pretty much sums up the Pasqualoni-DeLeone era of sound decision making/judgment.

Add to that Nebrich throwing for 3 gazillian yards in the Patriot League and that we'll never know about Michael Box (other than that someone's paying him to play indoors) and you have the seeds for a crapola harvest.

Turns out Cochran could play a little ball as well.

I don't think there is any bigger flag about lack of leadership than folks complaining they can't find good people. Bob may be a nut case, but he definitely has leadership characteristics. The stupid twins...........well..............
