Did his part last night and in the playoffs so far. Bueno el Jefe
He'll be back. Mets sign him for 1yr, 7.25M.
#5 until Wheeler. And if one the super 4 go down, he's there.
Plus, as he proved postseason, pretty good from the pen.
I like the signing. Cheap and puts up good numbers. As a #5, you could definitely do MUCH worse.
I absolutely love the guy. Glad he's back.
Love the signing. Guess Cuddyer's $$$ went to him and Blevins (which I liked also, was lights out before the two freak injuries).
End of day sports are supposed to be fun, Bartolo is fun, this is good.
Another reason to love Bartolo Colon: Silver Slugger $50K bonus.
Starting tonight gamec4 v Phils.
Zeros through 4. Stuff is mid 90s with movement.
Amazing. Pitched game 1 in relief
An absolute gem by Big Sexy last night. Right now, he's my 2nd favorite pitcher to watch behind Thor.
Lotta movement on his pitches and
a gem. Give him the ball every 5 days or in relief, he's there.
He will be hard to remove if and when Wheeler is available.
Agree. How fun is he? Oldest now to hit his 1st HR.
past is the past, no need to be a dbag.
faces the best pitcher in baseball tonight. just enjoy it
"The Natural" Starring Bartolo Colon (A Baseball Remix)
If you haven't seen this yet, you're gonna love it!
Hey I agree, to a point. I like the guy, he's fun. But once a cheater always a cheater, speculation never ends. No different than ARod, Papi, Braun etc etc..
He's just a funnier guy than them.
He's funny cuz he's fat.
And there's nothing wrong with that Dove
If Colon's success has anything to do with PEDs at this point, then I'm all for it. Because if true, it would mean there's a possibility of a team of all PED-fueled fat guys winning the WS. That would be highly entertaining.
I'm all in too. PED's, blood transfusions anything to have fat guys making me laugh on the baseball field. Hell I'll needle up and make a comeback maybe.
The great thing about baseball is you can be fat and play forever, David Wells played till age 44.
well he has fallen back to earth his last couple of starts. maybe he should ease off patenting that Big Sexy moniker.
Happy Birthday to Big Sexy.
Nice bounce back W last night.
The guy is unflappable. Has a rough first inning and just doesn't ruffle at all. In Washington, with Duda and Conforto out of the lineup, going against Gio Gonzalez who usually gives the Mets fits.
Let's see what Harvey does tonight. Supposedly, he worked off the Citi mound this weekend and used some tracker technology to refine his arm angle and release point or something. The 7 Line Army will be there with a crowd that travelled in for this one too.
strasburg is lights out. Nats have the pitching. need Batman tonight.
The All Star Game just got bigger and sexier.
Colon, 43, replaces Bumgarner on NL All-Stars
My little brother got me this t-shirt for my birthday; if you recall Shea Stadium you'll appreciate it even more:
I horrified my family by wearing it for the annual party we host over Memorial Day weekend with 50+ guests. Of course, Barto was pitching that day, so that was my defense.
How great is this? He may pitch to 1 or 2 batters in the All Star Game.
Thank God we signed him with Harvey gone now, and Wheeler probably not coming in 16.
He really is our 3 or 4 now.
LET'S GO METS!!!
Put him in the HR Derby!
just not the All Star game I guess. Nor Familia. NL champs had zippity in the classic. When has that happened prior?
