Just a reminder Tage Thompson will be playing in the All American Prospects game next Thursday, September 24, at 7 pm from Buffalo. It will be televised live on the NHL network. A good chance to see one of the newest Huskies in action before his college career begins. He will be wearing #20 and playing for Team Plante.

It's billed as a game featuring the top 42 American prospects for the 2016 NHL draft but it is missing the future #1 overall pick of the 2016 draft, Auston Matthews, who is playing in Switzerland this season.

I hope Cav and his staff can make in-roads into LI recruiting wise. Every year there are at least 5 kids who come out of LI that are HE quality kids. BC and BU have had LI locked up for a while now, it would be nice to make a splash there.

Tage Thompson, Right Wing, Oyster Bay, NY, UConn (Hockey East) - He's a physical specimen who has good footwork and above average hands for a guy his size. He's a decent skater and wins face-offs. He's the son of Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL) head coach Brent Thompson. His younger brother Tyce, a '99, is a Providence recruit.

I wouldn't call 1 signing in-roads...Thompson played for the PAL Jr Islander organization in Suffolk. NY Apple Core (Long beach) and the Westchester Express (Brewster Ice Arena) are other organizations that puts kids from LI on the USNDTP every year too.
