Amidst all this realignment talk, I'm happy that we're adding SDSU. And to show it, I'm off to La Jolla - perhaps the most beautiful place in the world, or one of them anyway. Doesn't get any better. While there I plan to visit SDSU, check out the facilities, talk to whomever about the NBE, maybe watch a practice if I can. Me, wife and Dolly (we are presently in negotiations with Dr. Herbst about having her become the new Husky mascot! - all in favor put some hands in the air). [IMG]

You are absolutely correct about San Diego being a great place to visit and to live.

May I suggest you try to fit in time to visit the Gaslamp Quarter district. I'll throw in a personal plug for the Yardhouse.

My wife and I went to a restaurant with flamenco dancing in the gaslamp dist - pretty cool stuff, if you ignore the fact that dancing on a wood board in a small restaurant can be pretty loud. San Diego Zoo is great, the park around it has lots of museums and things to do.

If you are into beer, have some reasonably priced at Tournados or Downtown Johnny Browns, or visit Lost Abbey (my favorite), Stone Brewing, Port Brewing, Ballast Point or Alesmith.

SDSU plays at the NFL Chargers Stadium, or at least they did 35 years ago.
