Quick, answer this riddle: what remains a somewhat interesting footnote about this game?

Still waiting? Well, it was a 10-point win over the always-game USF. however, it was in OT, so the final five minutes compensated for the abysmal 40 minutes of regulation.

So why am I linking everyone to a crappy game? Well, here's the real footnote: UConn lost two games in a row back on 3/17/93, when Uconn followed up a BET loss to Providence with a first-round NCAA tourney defeat at the hands of Louisville. Those consecutive losses have not happened since for Uconn...but this one game was as close as the Huskies got to losing two in a row.

Since then, Uconn WBB has enjoyed nine F4s and six NCs. This season, however, was, in relative terms, horrible: 25 wins, top 10 finish after making the regional semis, and a BET championship. Given that, here we are with a season most of the 330+ D1 programs would kill to have

Enjoy the footnote...and maybe scramble somewhere to watch a replay of the 2016 finals against Syracuse or something...
