A concern of mine is lack of over-speed on defense. Guys did not explode to the ball. I did think the offensive line had improved and the running backs. The play calling on offense was poor as was the lack of focus on getting pressure on QB. It seemed the failed game plan was to contain the QB from running.
In a regular season game when you step on the field the one and only goal is to try to win. For some reason that thought was lacking.
I would get the two young running backs more touches and in space. On defense, we need to somehow get some speed incorporated in the pass rush. As for the QB mess - I get it - the most talented QB is being red shirted and for good reason. Having said that, for this year put the ball in Casey's hands and in a way he is not looking over at the sideline wondering if he is in next play.
