I'm sick and tired of hearing that so and so has a better football program than UConn, or that "we don't want another Kansas football in our conference", so I rehashed the pro sports draft picks by schools rumored to be in the running to go to the Big 12.

NFL Draft Picks (2005 to 2016):

24 Cincinnati
23 UConn
16 USF
14 UCF
12 BYU
9 Houston
7 Memphis

Here is the Big 12 over that time period:

61 Oklahoma
42 Texas
29 TCU
28 Baylor
28 West Virginia
18 Oklahoma St.
18 Texas Tech
16 Kansas St.
10 Iowa St.
9 Kansas

What about the NBA (2005 to 2016)?

15 UConn
9 Memphis
3 Cincinnati
2 USF
1 BYU
1 UCF
0 Houston

MLB (2005 to 2016)?

45 Houston
40 UCF
39 UConn
37 USF
28 BYU
23 Memphis
19 Cincinnati

WNBA (2005 to 2016)?

15 UConn
4 USF
3 BYU
1 Houston
0 Cincinnati
0 Memphis
0 UCF

What about other major professional sports like soccer and hockey?

UConn wins in a landslide.

And we'll have at least one, probably two more NFL draft picks this year.

To touch on the soccer part (if anyone in the Big12 would be listening to that): We just had 2 UConn players in the MLS All-Star game against Arsenal this past month (Blake, Larin).

UConn (def.) - Greatness in everything that you do.

B12 doesn't have men's soccer, the point of success still stands though.

It would be smart if the big12 sponsored men's soccer. Its getting more and more popular across the US
More content/inventory for a potential network.

If they ever did, UConn would help the big12 in a big way.
Normally top 3 in national attendance every year and would probably have the best 23 million $ Soccer Specific Stadium in the potential big12. (It will be better than some MLS stadiums)

More than that. Mikal Myers, JWilliams, Melifonwu & Noel Thomas all have a great shot at being drafted.

Then the next season Tre Bell, Jamar Summers, Carrezola, Fatukasi, perhaps Levenberry or Junior Joseph too.
