At AIC and at Sacred Heart. How many times have we had a let down against Sacred Heart in recent years? Coming out flat, uninspired, and unprepared. These are the type of games when we step out of Hockey East that we need to bank in the win column and have failed to do. In year 5 of the Cavanaugh regime, I expect to see progress in this regard this weekend.

Maybe it just seems like more times than not, but certainly far too many times for a bigger and much better university school and its' athletic department and hockey program. Go UConn!

OOC opponents from the AHC generally mean that Cav will give his alternate goalie and third and fourth lines more work than usual just to develop them for when they will be really needed and to see if any previously lightly regarded players exhibit signs of rapid progress. Unfortunately that can often result in an L. When UConn progresses to the point where they don't feel that need and instead are more worried about the effect on the pairwise ... well, that will be good.
