*right* now, Loyd's about the 5th or 6th best player on Notre Dame - I'd say Allen, Mabrey, Cable, Turner, and maybe Reimer have had better NCAA tournaments.

But are award voters paying attention to "now"-what is happening in NCAA tournament- and casting votes based on it? I'd give Loyd a pass she carried ND all year. Being tired and worn down this time of year was more than likely.

I'd give her a pass in a "she's still an all-american way," but it certainly solidifies Stewart's already strong claim on NPOY.
