Ice, are you saying that Maryland fans together form a great pile of wit?

    For what, exactly?

And if Maryland were playing without two of its key players, do you think it would have done as well as Louisville? The worst team the Cardinals lost to was #39 RPI West Virginia, on the road. Maryland's worst loss was to RPI #272 Virginia Tech, at home.

Answering an earlier questions. During the reg season, all coaches submit a post game report to the conf head of officials. The conf heads then recommend officials to participate in the NCAA. The NCAA then takes over supervising and meet after every... round? or weekend? can't recall... of games to decide who goes forward.

Answering another question, refs are "sat down" or "not hired" if they're blowing calls.

Answering another question, there's a whole stable of excellent and superb women's basketball refs just waiting to come on to the scene -- the problem is the supervisors refuse to hire them.

for picking the wrong team. duh. and none of you homers picked UMD again for th TAMU game, when will you ever learn! it is true UMD doesn't play as well as uconn but not many do. Icebore was again saying how great penn st plays defense, then uconn went out and killed them. how great can that defense actually be? oh, better than UMD right? but EVERYONE plays better D than UMD according to you folks. accept we are down to the top 10 teams (8 actually) so it is a little weird to keep saying how UMD can't play. give UMD some credit and continue with the crow eating. BTW- it isn't rude to point out when the lords of the boneyard are wrong.

I will give them full credit when they prove to me that they can play with a target on their back...UCONN jerseys are made with the target permanently imprinted.

Once again please try to get it right if you intend to "bless" us with posts. I did not say that PSU was a great defensive team. They are not. I noted that PSU had stretches during the season when they played some very good defense. PSU is actually rather like MD in that they can play defense for stretches but rarely a whole game. MD still has not proven a commitment to ND or UConn style defense.

You are totally correct Icebear, as usual.
Though he knows not what he is talking about, you gotta admit the "Icebore" part was funny.
And we could use a little more humor around here.

I agree Sonny...I was once called "Fuzzy” Nelson and I found it hilarious. OTOH, I used a nickname for a poster here and he “threatened” by PM to report me to mods, as if they don’t read my posts. Whatever…

    1. Punctuation. Try it.
    2. People with only 1 or 2 posts that consist of rude and childish behavior risk being tagged as trolls and disposed of as such
    3. You're still here because it's pretty amusing that a Maryland fan would talk smack to UConn fans. We had a Cornell fan here a few years ago talking smack before a first round NCAA game (UConn won by 41 points) and it was pretty cute for the same reason.

If I were you, though, I would lay off calling other posters names. Last warning.
