After reading this article ( http://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-football/hc-uconn-football-0919-20120918,0,869176.story ) I'm pretty much convinced. The part about Norris and where Coach P wants his playing weight to be ( 260 ) at DE ultimately... ( he mentions he gained 25lbs since he's been on campus )... Not sure what the secret is about the weight thing. Looking forward to watching a repeat of the game Sunday morning...
Noticed that too when reading the article. Paul P's statement via Des: "Willman's attributes are strength and power. Norris' are speed and athleticism, but he is determined to get bigger. Pasqualoni said that Norris had put on 24 pounds since he arrived in late June. He said he expects Norris to play at around 260 and is about "four ham sandwiches" away from 255 pounds." As a fan it's great to know the correct size/weight of our players. But what ticks me off is this is the information all the media uses as well. It's not complicated. There's like 120 other teams in the country that have figured this out. Time to bring back Randy.
all the weights are under. I dont know why. I have stood next to some of our lineman. 300lbs is EASY. These guys are 340 all day long.
With the injuries to Jennings and Joseph, it'll be up to Norris -- who's bulked up to 246 in the three months since he arrived on campus -- to provide stability in the defensive line rotation along with Adeyemi, Pruitt and B.J. McBride. Read more: http://www.ctpost.com/uconn/article/Norris-leads-group-effort-for-UConn-to-replace-3875526.php#ixzz26w3TgblY
