For the past several days I have been so preoccupied prophesying the inevitable demise of the NCAA that I missed out on all the excitement elsewhere on the Boneyard. I gather that some poster was afflicted by a rash and was subsequently besieged by inexpert but enthusiastic (and occasionally even contentious) medical opinion about how to cure it. All under the broad category of Boneyard Newbie Initiation Rites, followed by a smackdown Moderator Assertion Decision. Alas, I missed all of it. . . .
Anyhow, I need help with a very tough decision ahead for me. Maybe Susan Herbst or Warde Manuel can help. It appears possible, if not likely, that First Night/Super Show may fall on Saturday, October 12. (Can anyone verify this?)
That very same date, Bela Fleck will perform at UConn. So all I really need is for The Show at Gampel to start early so as to permit me to exit Gampel and scoot (literally) to the concert hall down the road to hear my favorite (15 grammies) picker. HELP!
