This is a tough one............Jose' Fernandez may want out of the AAC , and maybe the B12 , ACC , or SEC , or some other Conference is the answer. But be careful of what you wish for. Look at Rutgers for example. Got out of the Big East and joined the BIG 10. And has been getting their brains beat out ever since. And thus attendance has suffered. Many fans may come at first but only for a short time. No fan wants to constantly see their favorite team beaten. Badly or otherwise.

Rutgers is "getting their brains beat out" because the program has really gone downhill since BE days, not because the Big 10 is so tough (certainly not as tough as the old BE was). The Big 10 is IMHO top to bottom the weakest of the Big 5 as far as WBB is concerned and I think USF could compete - even in the ACC they would not be at the bottom (the bottom of all these 14-16 team leagues is rather pitiful).

BTW, the USF WBB team was recognized on the field at the football game this past weekend.

Here is a link to the video of the team. Too bad there is no audio as they received a good deal of applause.

As you readily can see, USF is a much TALLER team this year. Whether that will help in improvement is yet to be determined.

That video isn't working here for me.

Perhaps this is a better link.

For some reason, I cannot get the video to work here for me.

I tried to copy it from the USF WBB Twitter page. So, if you can't view it here, you should be able to watch it there, by scrolling down to find it:

Speaking of attendance, this is what Jose F tweeted regarding USF WBB:

Coach Fernandez on our fans: "We set an attendance record last year, season tickets have increased, and we appreciate all of that support."

We've heard many times that football drives the admitance into the Big Football Conferences. Once admitted, millions of dollars in return. Usually it takes time & money to attract good coaches, who in turn attract good players to help make a good or great team. Once in the conference, you can let the amentioned facts slip. However the millions still keep rolling in from the conference, such as in the case of Rutgers & BC.

Average--repeat AVERAGE-fans want continuity --they like to play the familiar teams--teams they get to know most of the players and coaches--Administrators, Coaches want the big buck conferences--
The Big East was successful--and UConn Fans like playing the same teams--Big East teams (probably like AAC teams) were tired of having their BB teams beaten regularly---as Uconn Football was.
