When the Giants win & the hated Cowboys lose, it makes me wax poetic...or just compose quizzes.

9..Confederate General J. E. B. ______.

10..What is Sheb Wooley's place in the NFL?

11..The most conspicuous modernization of the Athens Acropolis?

12.."You always have my unspoken passion, although I might seem not to care."

13..Where Farsi is spoken?

1. Charles Starkweather. A new book, "Killer on the Road," about serial killers who travel by interstate highways, was reviewed in the NY Times last week. Starkweather was the first of them in the 1950s, when the interstate highway system was being developed.

1..Rbny has let the cat out of the bag, informing all that I read the NY Times. What's next? Revelations of my love life?
Anyway he is correct about Charles Starkweather.

2..VAUC recognizes her as a character on Weeds, though I don't know why he is so hard on her. After all, she has aided thousands
of good folks happily alter their consciousness. I mean, what's so good about an unaltered consciousness?

3..A member of parliament who was ceremoniously dumped on (probably) trumped up charges for running afoul of Putin.
Come on, posters, you must keep track of Russian affairs, or we court WW3.

4..Long time newspaper for Milano. If you don't follow Italian news, you will be surprised by WW3.

5..Meyers is word-for-word on the closing line. He and Chap place it in Eclipse by Pink Floyd.

7..Muncie is the home of Giant-Killer Ball State. Drive, Meyers & VAUC.

6..VTC tracks the Pontiff to Lebanon, and that's no baloney.

8..Armenia wins in a tie-breaker over Russia. Don't know if penalty kicks were involved.

9..Stuart, credit to Meyers & VTC, who are still fighting the War of Northern Aggression. And for reasons known only
to Meyers, he has memorized even the General's confirmation name.

10..Again I must chide you over incomplete explanations. Your answer should read something like,
Sheb had a hit record "Purple People Eaters", a name borrowed by the Vikings defensive line in the '70's.
How hard can that be? Explains your mediocre grades all through school.

11..The Acropolis has an elevator. NOW, will you travel? And remember Greece really needs your money.

12..Chap & VAUC recall Billy Joel's JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. And I wouldn't change a thing either about those two.

13..Official language of Iran. Well, VTC didn't say ALL that, but his answer is fine anyway. VAUC is even vaguer.

That weren't me, that was the Civil War Buff (credit where credit's due). In my head it was always Jeb, not J.E.B.
