A bunch of us batted around the subject of readers last week. Well, Christmas isn't here yet, but one of Santa's helpers let it slip that I'm getting that Nook Tablet I was coveting last week. It is not pretty to see me doing the Happy Dance -- trust me on this one -- but that's what I'm doing right about now. Different people have different needs and I'll tell you, if what you want is a basic reader, that Kindle at $79 is a hell of a deal. But I'm figuring the extra features in the tablet will allow me to use it for a long time to come. The only thing I'll need my computer for is word processing and my online classes. The rest of it, plus reading books (if I ever get used to that), I can do on the Nook, with complete portability.
