I see Tom Herman's name come up at pretty much every high profile coaching gig and yet he never seems to get hired. Is he interviewing poorly (or at all) or are other candidates winning out the job over him?

@DanWolken: If Muschamp is Auburn-bound, Tom Herman will be favorite to get Houston job. But one name to keep an eye on: Fresno St coach Tim DeRuyter

So much for that:
@ThayerEvansSI: Former Florida coach Will Muschamp will be Auburn's new defensive coordinator per a source.

Will Muschamp would of been a nice addition to UConn as DC. Yes, some say that's a long shot, but money talks offering him $800,000 to $1000,000,000 a year would make him consider coaching here as DC, no? bringing in another high profile coach like Muschamp will bring UConn to the next level in recruiting. Its college football anything is possible #DreamsCanComeTrue

Out of control... $1.6m+/yr as Defensive Coordinator (plus he get $2.1m/yr from UF - no offset language)

I think Anderson left because he and his family prefer a small town lifestyle. The rumor is that he was called for a reference on the current Utah St coach and he surprisingly threw his name into the discussion.
Corvallis, OR is a smaller city than small city Madison, WI, but both are surrounded by small towns. Such a rumor is not supported by both location's abundant surrounding small town lifestyles.

Morris at SMU. Herman at Houston. Montgomery at Tulsa. Geesh, the only top OC available NOT hired by an AAC school remaining is Scott Frost.

If nothing else we should really evaluate our choice for OC. GDL lite isn't going to cut it in a conference with those two guys as well as the offenses at Cincinnati, ECU, and UCF.

Diaco better realize, that despite solid defense, you better have the ability to score in bunches to win in this league.

At this point we have to hope that Diaco is like Stoops at OK. Defensive guy who hires the right offensive people. Unfortunately there are more examples of the Muschamp type that can't figure out offense and consider it a necessary evil.

The pressure is absolutely on Cummings in '15. We need to figure out a way to score in the 30s and 40s each game, not try to win games 10-7. That also means the coaching staff and team should hold a ceremony on the first day of Summer '15 practice to officially bury the overly conservative 4th and 1 punt decisions.
