A coaching staff can coach kids up, and win with schemes. Continued success requires better players. Recruiting comes first. Some how, our new coach will need to upgrade the roster. Starting with the O line. Same kids a year older, will play their hearts out. But, talent wins out.

The first step is going to be playing a style of football that kids actually want to play. The good news is that likely to be exactly the style that fans like to watch. Put a decent exciting offense on the field and a whole lot of problems start to look much more manageable.

That wasn't our problem. Our problem was playing below our talent level.

I believe the first step has to be fixing the offensive line.

Incorporating a more aggressive defensive philosophy is next, followed by prioritizing QB development and attempting to use special teams as an advantage.
