Better than most, and references the APR ban as "academic sins of earlier Huskies," while mentioning that 5 team members made Deans List. Makes the error that UCONN beat the 1,2,3,4 seeds, rather than a 1,2,34 seed, and also said that it fielded a perfect starting 5. This is so you can know that the angle was the feel-good human interest and not the sports reporting.

Where it gets interesting is in the Readers' Comments, where 3 non-CT taxpayers (UT, GA, NYC residents) take KO to task for his grammar, and a Canadian chastises CT taxpayers for footing the bill for a 12% graduation rate. The latter is schooled by others as to how the basketball program earns its keep.

There are two things I hate about people who criticize the graduation rate.

1. This number is marred by transfers and players turning pro who never cared about classes. These are also players we don't get today--much better on that behalf.
2. UConn, as a university, has some of the best graduation rates in the country. ~68% graduate in 4 years, goes up to 83% in 6 years. That's easily in the top 20 in the country (including privates).
