    Making a trophy isn't a rivalry. Real rivalries take years to develop and are generally regional (Notre Dame notwithstanding).

    We have one potential rival in the NNBE, and that is Snooki.

    Tell Carl that. The only rivalries in the new big east are Cinci/Ville and UConn/RU, but thats obvious to anyone paying attention.

    I donno I think we have a nice little thing going with Louisville as well... what with Larry Taylor and all that. :cool:

    But yeah.. history matters.. but we didn't have a history with Louisville and Rutgers until a few years ago.

    That being said I more concerned with having access to top level bowl games and national championships than I am rivalries.
