Needless to say, Tarbutt probably already has the inside track on kicking duties. I sure hope the coaching staff isn't going to needlessly redshirt this kid for 2+ years.

Also had a 28yd and 35yd FG in the win. Undefeated season.

Puyol is safe unless he starts missing next season. If you look at the tape, most of the misses have to do with the holding and the blocking. SMU caved in the whole side of the line on the PAT miss.

I think Wain needs to get better also. He doesn't seem to be able to punt beyond 40 yards. It will be good to have another kicker in camp to put pressure on Puyol and Wain.

I would plan on red-shirting him, see how things go for the first 2 games. If Puyol can't hit from beyond 40 yds you make the move. Could be a real nice addition though, we would punt less from inside the 40.
