So much talk of NIL evils but let’s talk about the real schemers in NIL..The NCAA. NCAA loosens the reigns, opens up NIL under the auspices of a kid making a couple bucks on a jersey sale. What really happens is that NIL opens the door for big time donors to drop dollars into a recruiting pot of money to attract players. The NCAA washes its hands of any policy and guidance and the kids go after money…who can blame them. Now the NCAA, like the PGA, who has no real tangible assets, no real expenses but gets to keep lining its pockets with huge TV revenue and broadcasting deals. C’mon, the NCAA doesn’t even give a kid who gets injured on the field of play short/long term disability…they don’t serve the schools, the athletes, they serve themselves. Sooner or later, a bunch of schools will band together and try to establish their own oversight body….LIV???

Wasn't it the O'bannons lawsuit and congress that started this whole thing, not the NCAA. The NCAA are at fault for having no rules or guidelines around it. No matter. I'm happy to be first in line for a bash the NCAA thread so have at it. They have it coming to them.

I think you’re right, I did forget about the O’Bs. Just a have your cake and eat it too scenario for the NCAA. Wonder when schools are gonna stop offering full scholarships to kids making 500K a year
