The continuation - having missed the last game update:
Updates for game 27
Rebounds 5, Steals 1, Assist 3, Points 2

Update for game 28:
Rebounds 1, Steals 4, Assist 3, Points 9

Totals:
86 (3.1), 74 (2.6), 147 (5.3), 284 (10.1)
Projections:
Rebounds 123, Steals 105, Assists 211, and Points 405

So game 27 Moriah played a season low 16 minutes as Geno rested her for most of the second half. The result was one of her worst statistical games of the year and put a dent in her margin towards the 100,100,200,400 final stats. Probably a good thing to get the rest as she has been getting banged around a lot lately. The other positive of course is lots of time for Chong and Banks and they respond with really good games - Chong with her first career double double and Banks with a strong defensive game.

Game 28 - back to normal service with Moriah getting 31 minutes and having a more balanced game. Still in the black on all projections but very little margin for error. This is why there has only been one player to hit these numbers in history at Uconn. On the turnover front Moriah has been a little sloppier the past few games - up to 47 YTD and her A/TO down to a still outstanding 3.13. And don't look now, but on a fairly limited number Moriah is now hitting .370 from three.

Bria and Stefanie had stellar games with 24 pts each, Stef perfect from the field and Bria 8-12. Interestingly given a sort of blah game from Stewart she actually shot 6-9 so blah isn't that bad!
And very importantly while Chong and Banks didn't have the same kind of games as in game 27, they had good games which is exactly what they need to do. String together one game after the other of being productive and positive forces on the court. Stokes also is just doing well - 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks - nothing spectacular but solid production in the minutes she plays.

Game 29
Updates for game 27
Rebounds 5, Steals 1, Assist 3, Points 2

Update for game 28:
Rebounds 1, Steals 4, Assist 3, Points 9

Update for game 29:
Rebounds 5, Steals 2, Assist 5, Points 9

Totals:
91 (3.1), 76 (2.6), 152 (5.2), 293 (10.1)
Projections:
Rebounds 125, Steals 105, Assists 209, and Points 404

A good game for Moriah and at this point the 100 rebound mark is pretty much in the bag as she has had a nice run of good rebounding games. Game 29 got her back on track in terms of A/TO as she was a solid 5.0 with only one turnover and her YTD is 3.13. She also had a mighty block and a beautiful shake and bake teardrop near the end of the game. She also continues to play stellar defense.
For the team - they showed up 15 minutes late, but the last 25 minutes was nice Uconn basketball. Bria continues her torrid stretch with another 20+ game and hitting 5-8 from the arc. She is now at .488/.381 shooting which is very respectable and a complete turn around from mid-December when she was in the mid 300 range from the field and in the 200s for 3 pointers.
Hard to believe we are in the last week of the regular season and only 10 days from the conference tournament. Bria and Stef have 3 games left at Gampel in their careers!

Update for game 30:
Rebounds 5, Steals 2, Assist 4, Points 9

Totals:
96 (3.2), 78 (2.6), 156 (5.2), 302 (10.1)
Projections:
Rebounds 125, Steals 104, Assists 208, and Points 403

Another good game from Moriah even though she only got 5 minutes in the second half and a total of 23 for the game. Rebounds may go above 100 next game out, but all the other numbers are on the edge. Be nice to have a killer game to close out the season and rebuild her margins. Shooting wise - 4 of 4 from the field was nice as she continues to be extremely efficient in her scoring - now at .574/.379 and FTs at .762. The down side - 3 TOs. She is now at 51 TOs YTD for a still stellar 3.05 but that was up near 3.5 not long ago. She continues to play great defense without fouling - 42 fouls YTD or 1.4 per game - and she has succeeded in spreading those out very evenly - can't remember the last game she had two could in the first half or three for the game. Concern still for her foot limits some of her time on the court, but except for a few hops after a collision there is no sign of any problem in her game.

I would note to those worried about MoJet's 3 point shooting that Kelly Mazzante up to 280 3s a year and never shot above 35% on 3s. MoJet at a 38% threat taking 3-4 a game is enough to force opponents to respect the shot. At 40% like the second half of the season and she becomes a great threat.

Nice, but you underestimate her 3 point shooting - from game 16 on (the second half of the season) Jefferson is shooting 16 -27 from three for 59%. At that percentage it wouldn't hurt for her to find a few more shots! She is only shooting a touch under 2 threes a game. From Feb 1 on she is shooting 67% from three (10-15 in 8 games!)
