They have a Media Guide Quick Facts guide out now (on the Husky website). A couple of "interesting" items in there. (well to me anyway, but I won't say odd ;))

The Final Four trip was UConn’s 13th all-time, which is the second-most appearances
in the history of the sport. Tennessee has appeared in a record 18 Final Fours. Stanford
has the third-highest total of 14 Final Four trips.

Do ours count more???? Or have they switched the numbering system around on me???

Also to help....someone???... out. And this is how it is written:

pro-nuhn-see-A-shuhns

Bria Hartley (BREE-uh)
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (kuh-LEEN-uh mos-KEHD-uh)
Stefanie Dolson (DOLE-sin)
Breanna Stewart (bree-ANN-uh)
Kelly Faris (FARE-iss)
Caroline Doty (LINE, DOH-tee)
Kiah Stokes (KEY-uh)
Brianna Banks (bree-ON-uh)
Moriah Jefferson (moe-RIE-uh)
Geno Auriemma (or-ee-EHM-uh)
Marisa Moseley (muh-RISS-uh MOSE-lee)

Make sure to get that difference in Breanna and Brianna. And don't forget the extra "s" in Farisssssssss. ;)

Stanford has been to 11 Final Fours. Sometimes the incorrect information gets past the editing process. The NCAA, for one, welcomes mistakes being brought to their attention.

VAUconnFan has the correct answer- Stanford has actually been to fewer F4s.

But to answer your question- yes, of course, ours count more.

If we ever import another Russian player, I wouldn't trust the UConn Athletic Department to get it right. Even after 4 years they couldn't get the pronunciation of Svetlana's last name correct:

To see other schools, and other related facts:

NCAA Final Fours by school

Nice find. It surprised me to see that Old Dominion had only been to three Final Fours.

I believe Kim Mulkey is a future Naismith Hall of Famer on present credentials. No one else in WCBB has come as full circle.
