Love the "fishcakes" @FDNY99 Hahaha

Here's our menu for Thursday:

App.- Chips/ Steamers in beer w/drawn butter
Main Course- Steamed Lobsters

Then of course plenty of beer, and a special 1st game drink- (Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin Ale w/ a shot of Vanilla Vodka in it- takes like pumpkin pie!)

Can't wait!!! 2 more days.

How are people making lobster rolls? Just cooking it ahead of time and then heating them up the next day?

Cook the lobster meat at home. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add lemon juice to the melted butter. Pour in lobster meat and gently warm. Serve on toasted buns.

Start with some New England chowder. Accompany the lobster rolls with some homemade potato salad and a homemade cucumber/tomato salad. Add a decent chardonnay and viola -- pregame tailgate.

For the number of people in the group and the fact that everyone is only taking a half day, Lobsters are impractical. I'm doing an appetizer of steamed mussels and clams, cooked in butter, beer, and assorted vegetables and corn cob quarters. We are also getting beers native to Maine. Wouldn't mind N.E. clam chowder, but it's tough eating heavy cream based soup in 80 degrees. The rest of the meal doesn't have anything to do with Maine.
